DESCRIPTION:Join the La Plata County Humane Society for a special Community Pet Remembrance Ceremony in honor of National Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. Led by Mindy Meiering\, LCSW\, this meaningful gathering offers a space to honor the beloved pets who have left paw prints on our hearts. Through simple rituals\, poetry\, music\, and shared reflection\, we'll come together as a community to remember\, celebrate\, and find comfort in the enduring bond we share with our animal companions. The gathering begins at 3:30 p.m.\, with the ceremony taking place from 4:00–5:00 p.m. on the beautiful grounds behind the shelter in the rear parking/pass-through area in front of our Care Cottage\, overlooking the river. Whether your loss was recent or many years ago\, all are welcome to join us for this free community event.
