Pain Care Yoga
4:00pm / Yogadurango
Pain is not always an accurate indication of what is happening in the body. Despite widespread beliefs about pain, we have the capacity to rewire the neurological processes that send danger signals from the peripheral nervous system to the brain, and we can change our pain!
Lynn Wickersham has been teaching yoga for 12 years and holds a Certificate in Pain Care Yoga. She teaches yogic practices for pain management incorporating breath work, meditation, mantra, mudra, and gentle movement. These techniques help people living with persistent pain to move with more ease, experience less pain, and improve quality of life.
Participants are asked to contact Lynn (firstname.lastname@example.org) for a brief consultation and to complete an intake form prior to attending Pain Care Yoga classes. No prior yoga is experience required. Chairs, bolsters, and other props will be provided for comfort and safety.
