Open Shop Day

The shop is a creative environment where other lapidary and jewelry artists generously share their knowledge, experience, techniques, and ideas. It is advisable to bring your own materials and hand tools if you have them. The Club offers an excellent variety of motorized tools, hand tools, and even some rough stone you may use to hone new skills.    Drop-ins and new members welcome. Experience is not necessary, however it is strongly recommended that new members attend a Shop Orientation that is held at 9:00 on the first Saturday of every month.    Anyone is welcome to join the Four Corners Gem & Mineral Club! Annual Membership fees are $30 per year for individuals and $45 per year for families (covers one or two adults and any children under 18 living in the same household)

Every Monday and Wednesday night, Durango Shin-Budo Kai offers a 2-hour Aikido class open to advanced, intermediate, and beginning practitioners. Discover a fun, challenging, and counter-intuitive martial art that teaches how to diffuse conflict or violence without adding conflict or violence. People across the age- and gender-spectrums are able and welcome to practice this transformative art. Wear a gi or comfortable, loose workout clothing.

The public is invited to the next meeting of the San Juan Basin Archaeological Society at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th at the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College.
