The annual bulb sale is underway, a fundraiser that supports the botanic gardens surrounding the Durango Public Library. It’s always been an in-person event, but, yes, it’s virtual this year. Check out the variety of bulbs available (and read Mike Smedley’s advice, as he’s a bulb master), and order your bulbs for fall planting at DurangoBotanicGardens.org.

Fair Livestock Auction

The La Plata County Fair Junior Livestock Auction will be streamed live on Aug. 8, 5 p.m., and you can call in your bids to support our local 4-H and FFA youth who have worked hard for the
