Free Commercial Collection Hazardous Waste

Commercial Collection by appointment only noon - 5 PM on Friday, September 18th. Visit DurangoGov.org/HHW for more information.   Safely and responsibly dispose of hazardous and hard-to-dispose of household products. La Plata County and the City of Durango will host a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection event. Included: home cleaning supplies, painting and garden supplies, automotive fluids, batteries, propane tanks and small electronics. Ammunition and other explosives, biowaste, radioactive waste and large electronic items such as televisions, CRTs, refrigerators and other items containing Freon, will not be accepted.
Colors of the West - Opening Reception

Two-woman show featuring the works of sculptor Star Liana York and painter Maura Allen. While each artist celebrates historical and cultural elements using a distinctive medium, this show will focus on how color influences them personally and how it translates into their work as they portray and evoke feelings.    Show continues through September 30.

Completing his first year on the road, he’s played clubs the likes of The Rabbit Hole in West Virginia, Luna Red in San Luis Obispo, Madonnari festival in Baltimore, and now joins us at The Office Spiritorium.

Durango Drive In Movie - Groundhog Day

Downtown Durango's newest event is the Durango Drive In! Movies will be shown over four consecutive weekends on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad parking lot. When was the last time you had dinner and a movie with your family, friends or loved ones? Well now you can, and can do so safely.   What you get   Tickets are sold for a vehicle or a pair of motorcycles. 100 vehicles will be allowed at each movie.
