Sidewalk Artist Demonstration
12:00pm / Create Art and Tea in the Durango Arts Center
Michael Billie will be doing a demonstration of his famous Eco-dying works on the sidewalk on September 5 from 12 to 5 and there will be an activity that people can participate !!! If anyone would like to make a silk scarf they’ll be a $10 charge to create a present for your Mom or Grandmother. Michael will also have his scarves and beautiful native American artwork displayed.

Armed with a ukulele and a big, unexpected voice, Devin Scott easily entertains audiences of all ages. Performing everything from R. Kelly to Patsy Cline, Devin aims to include every one of his listeners. “It’s just more fun when people are enjoying and participating, so I try to make sure that everyone has something they can sing along to.” After only a few years of performing with the ukulele at open mic nights in his hometown of Sikeston, Missouri, Devin began to realize the joy it gave to him and others and has made it his goal to play for as many people as he can. “It’s so amazing to watch an entire group of people enjoy something so much together.” Traveling around the country, teaching and leading jam sessions, singing for audiences in restaurants, bars, high in the Rocky Mountains, around campfires and even floating down the San Juan River, Devin is well on his way to accomplishing his goal of spreading the joy of the ukulele!

Durango Drive In Movie - Easy Rider

Downtown Durango's newest event is the Durango Drive In! Movies will be shown over four consecutive weekends on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad parking lot. When was the last time you had dinner and a movie with your family, friends or loved ones? Well now you can, and can do so safely.   What you get   Tickets are sold for a vehicle or a pair of motorcycles. 100 vehicles will be allowed at each movie.
