Apple Days Festival
8:00am / Durango Farmers Market
We are pleased to announce that the 12th Annual Apple Days festival is happening! You and yours will once again have the opportunity to participate in our tradition of a community apple harvest, as well as, enjoy the nothing-could-be-better taste of apple juice pressed fresh from the fruits of your labor. In recognition of the COVID pandemic, things will look a touch different than our typical festival.   From 10/2-10/8, we invite you to join us for one of our daily, small-group gleans where we will head out to area orchards to bring in this year's apple harvest. Your fruit will then be carted off to a local cider press and turned into fresh-pressed cider that you can, in turn, pick up on Saturday, 10/10 at our Apple Days Booth at the Durango Farmers Market, where we will also feature our much-beloved hand-crank cider pressing and family-friendly activities.    To keep down on the line and keep the cider fun flowing, we kindly ask that you pre-order your apple cider at www.goodfoodcollective.org

Ghost Walk Tours
7:00pm / Old Durango High School
Take a walk through 140 years of haunted history in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. GHOST WALK DURANGO is a guided walking tour starting at the Old Durango High School (201 East 12th Street) through the historic district of Durango, Colorado. Durango was founded officially in 1880 to serve the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad following an unsuccessful negotiation with the existing settlement of Animas City 2 miles North. Gun battles, including the Stockton Gang and the Simmons Gang feud, lynchings, a fire in 1889 that consumed most of the wooden buildings and sidewalks in town, the Spanish Flu epidemic, and a general reckless 'Devil May Care' element that was omnipresent in the early days have all contributed to countless ghost and haunting stories. For the first 40 years of Durango's existence, no sane person left their home without a pistol. For farmers, ranchers and business people alike a lever-action rifle or double-barrel shotguns were strapped to a plow, in a saddle scabbard, or propped against a desk more often than not. All stories you will hear have been researched and well documented, and may have been experienced by your guide personally. Folklore and legends have been carefully preserved from generations of local storytellers. As educational as it is fun, GHOST WALK DURANGO is one of Durango's most popular attractions and a sure bet for fun and thrills. Tours are offered nightly at 7:00 pm.   If a time or date isn't listed on our booking site please contact us, we may be able to accommodate your request. Perfect for couples and kids from 1-101.   Tickets $20  Kids 10 and under are FREE!!!
