We’ve been in continuous operation running train excursions on this 45-mile spur of the Denver & Rio Grande rail line since 1882. Much of the scenery remains unchanged since then. There’s no cell service or Wi-Fi through much of the terrain so you’ll be unplugged from the modern world. Soak in the views, listen as the steam whistle echoes through the canyon, hear the vintage locomotive work to pull the train up the grades. If you long to unwind and enjoy Colorado nature at its finest, this is the trip for you.

All About Aromatherapy
10:00am / Online, interactive class (due to COVID)
Aromatherapy is all the rage. Essential oils are fun, they're portable, and they can quickly turn into an obsession in growing one's collection. Oils can be super useful, but can also cause problems when used inappropriately. Plant aromatics can be a great way to engage your senses. Whether you are an absolute newbie or someone who has been an aroma-geek for a while, this class is for you.   We'll nerd out on (i) exactly what essential oils are and how to use them, (ii) how much is too much when it comes to oil usage, (iii) ways to tell if your oil is diluted/fake, (iv) blending for health usages and perfumery, (v) the 5 most common uses for plant aromatics in my clinical practice (vi) my 10 favorite oils in detail, and (vii) how to do aromatherapy without expensive, little brown bottles of oil. There will be a demo on making aromatic herbal infused oils. Samples will be available for local pick up in Durango or Albuquerque.
