Scenic Round Trip Silverton Train
8:00am / Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
Embark on an Incredible Journey Through the San Juan Mountains!   For a truly unforgettable step back in time, enjoy a leisurely trip to yesteryear riding 3 1/2 hours each way on this steam train plus spend 2 hours in the historic mining town of Silverton to enjoy the sights, shopping, food, and libations that Silverton offers. We’ve been in continuous operation running train excursions on this 45-mile spur of the Denver & Rio Grande rail line since 1882. Much of the scenery remains unchanged since then. There’s no cell service or Wi-Fi through much of the terrain so you’ll be unplugged from the modern world. Soak in the views, listen as the steam whistle echoes through the canyon, hear the vintage locomotive work to pull the train up the grades. If you long to unwind and enjoy Colorado nature at its finest, this is the trip for you.

Gleaners are invited to bring boxes and bags to take home as much fruit as they want. Remaining fruit is donated to regional food assistance programs.   This family friendly event helps get fresh produce to our region's food insecure populations, protects our bear populations and reduces waste!    Spots are limited, so please RSVP on our website - https://www.goodfoodcollective.org    Can't make it? Not a problem, our website also features a database of fruit tree owners in search of harvesters, harvest equipment rentals, and DIY harvest educational materials!

The High Country Cowboys
8:00pm / VFW Hall
Remembering the good old days of Western music and the silver screen cowboys like Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and the Sons of the Pioneers, the High Country Cowboys present their brand of this classic genre. Born and raised in the heart of ranch country in south central Montana, they grew up playing cowboys and watching the old B-Western films on VHS which instilled in them a love for the West and cowboy music.   Since their beginning in 2014, the Pro Cowboy Country Association has awarded them Music Group of the Year in 2017 and 2018 and they received Best Album of the Year for their album "Cowboy" in 2018. Lead singer Marty was honored as Yodeler of the Year in 2017 and Male Vocalist of the Year in 2018. The IWMA also recognized their album "Cowboy" as Best Album of the Year in 2017, and Marty has won IWMA Yodeler of the Year three times. Their traditional sound and three-part Western harmony has been compared to the Sons of the Pioneers and Marty Robbins.
