We’ve been in continuous operation running train excursions on this 45-mile spur of the Denver & Rio Grande rail line since 1882. Much of the scenery remains unchanged since then. There’s no cell service or Wi-Fi through much of the terrain so you’ll be unplugged from the modern world. Soak in the views, listen as the steam whistle echoes through the canyon, hear the vintage locomotive work to pull the train up the grades. Join the Good Food Collective and the Durango Farmers Market for the 13th Annual Apple Days Festival, brought to you by The Ore House Restaurant. This FREE festival celebrates our region's apple abundance, helps feed our community, reduces waste, and saves the bears! We invite you to join us on Saturday, October 9th, from 9am-12pm at the Durango Farmers Market. A demographic of 1 in 26 who have almost never been represented authentically on screen and suffer from brutal stigma every day.
