Are you nervous about public speaking, or just dread the experience and wish you were better at it? Join us at the Center for Innovation Friday mornings for Toastmasters!    Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.   Can't make it in person? We host the meeting virtually, so join us from home! Meetings will start at 7:15am every Friday.   

Come move and breathe with us every Friday morning from 8:30-9:30 am at Lively (A Boutique)! Featuring different yoga instructors every week, we provide a calm yoga environment to start your weekend off right. Embark on an incredible train journey through the southwest Rocky Mountains. This unforgettable Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad's steam train excursion whisks passengers to and from Cascade Canyon offering magnificent views of the Animas River and Canyon as it climbs through the San Juan Mountains, much of which is inaccessible by any other vehicle. It's a 52 mile roundtrip journey into a winter wonderland with a 60 minute layover at Cascade Canyon just enough time to take a winter walk along the river, take photos or have lunch by the fire in the pavilion.    Departure time is 9:15am and return time is 2:30pm. All trains have a concession car with a variety of snacks and drinks available for purchase.

Get your hands dirty as you create a unique and functional clay dish of your choice. We will mix creativity with pleasure as we unwind from a busy week, enjoy happy hour treats, spend time with community artists, and, most importantly, hand-build a clay dish to use for years to come.    By the end of the evening your piece will be ready for glazing. You select a glaze which we will apply when your dish is dry. Trains departs at 5:15pm, 6:50pm and 8:25.    THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is our most popular event of the year and is an annual holiday tradition for many riders. While the train excursion is roughly 65 minutes in duration, we recommend allowing 2 hours for the entire adventure so you can enjoy the full experience! The weather can be cold at the North Pole, so we recommend layering properly, even though all the cabins are heated aboard the train. Start off your holiday season with Singing with Santa. This annual family friendly event takes place the day after Thanksgiving. Mark your calendar for years event on Friday, November 26!   The event starts at TBK Bank Parking lot (259 W 9th St,). Arrive by 5:30pm to receive your glowstick. (while supplies last.) Santa will arrive in a horse drawn carriage around 6pm. Once Santa arrives, we will follow him up Main Avenue singing Christmas carols to Buckley Park.     At the park we will sing Christmas carols and then count down the lighting of the community Christmas Tree. There will be hot chocolate and cookies for everyone to enjoy while supplies last.    Santa will be available for pictures. Please bring your own camera.
