Cascade Canyon Winter Train
9:00am / Cascade Canyon Winter Train
Embark on an incredible train journey through the southwest Rocky Mountains. This unforgettable Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad's steam train excursion whisks passengers to and from Cascade Canyon offering magnificent views of the Animas River and Canyon as it climbs through the San Juan Mountains, much of which is inaccessible by any other vehicle. It's a 52 mile roundtrip journey into a winter wonderland with a 60 minute layover at Cascade Canyon just enough time to take a winter walk along the river, take photos or have lunch by the fire in the pavilion.    Departure time is 9:15am and return time is 2:30pm. All trains have a concession car with a variety of snacks and drinks available for purchase.
The Polar Express Train Ride
5:00pm / Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
Trains departs at 5:15pm and 6:50pm.    THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is our most popular event of the year and is an annual holiday tradition for many riders. While the train excursion is roughly 65 minutes in duration, we recommend allowing 2 hours for the entire adventure so you can enjoy the full experience! The weather can be cold at the North Pole, so we recommend layering properly, even though all the cabins are heated aboard the train. As always, we recommend wearing pajamas to capture the Christmas spirit! Click below for more frequently asked questions about THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train.
