Metal on Metal Inlay
10:00am / Four Corners Gem and Mineral Club
In this one-day class (please choose either Saturday or Sunday), learn how to inlay copper, silver, brass or bronze designs into precious and base metal backgrounds. This class involves jewelry design, sawing metal, sweat soldering and stone setting. Prior soldering or silver smithing is highly recommended.   All supplies (silver, base metals and stones) are included. Tuition is $140. To register email the instructor Jama Crawford.   Students only need to sign up for one day.
4Corners Riversports Red Hot Relay
10:00am / Durango Nordic Ski Club
Youth Program Fundraiser!   Team Format: Anything goes! Find three people, form a team, and let's have some fun. We strongly encourage people who don't typically race to join a team.   Race Format: Teams of 3 racers. Each racer will complete one 3k lap. Mass start with social distancing in mind. The clock starts when the starting gun fires. Times will be logged when the third member of the team crosses the line.
Snowdown Chili Cook-off
12:00pm / La Plata County Fairgrounds
Calling all alchemists! Time to dust off that cauldron for the annual chili cook off. Bring your hunger and your sense of adventure to enjoy samples of red and green chili, salsas and vegetarian chili. Brews and soft drinks will be available to tame those fiery tongues. Doors open at 7 AM to decorate booths/stands/cookers and to start cooking your favorite recipes! Judging begins at 10:30 AM. Tasting cups on sale at 12 NOON with proceeds supporting SNOWDOWN! Witches and warlocks can vote for the people's choice award. Prizes generously underwritten by Sunny Side Meats Market.
Snowdown Bloody Mary Contest
12:00pm / La Plata County Fairgrounds
Those who lay claim to Durango’s best Bloody Mary can show off their goods at this bloody good time! The Bloody Mary Contest takes place during the SNOWDOWN Chili Cook-off. Ice, cups and Vodka will be provided by Ironton Distillery & Crafthouse. Contestants bring the rest to prepare their Bloody Marys and decorate their booth AND themselves, for costumes are always encouraged!
Cornhole Tournament
1:00pm / American Legion
Bring your glittery self to this brilliant game. Cornhole (aka bags, sack toss, or bean bag toss) is a lawn game in which players take turns throwing 16 ounce bags of corn kernels at a raised platform (board) with a hole in the far end. A bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the board scores 1 point. Play continues until a team or player reaches or exceeds the score of 21.   Entry Cost: FREE  Entry Deadline: Friday, Jan 28  Prizes: 1st, 2nd 
Après Ski Science & Social
2:00pm / Andrews Lake parking area, just south of Molas Pass
For the first time ever, join SJMA, Mountain Studies Institute, local experts and winter athletes for a special winter education series, "Après Ski Science & Social". After you play in the mountains, meet us at SJMA's Outdoor Research tiny house at Andrew's Lake parking area to learn about forest health, watersheds, climate change, and the future of snowpack in the San Juans.   Hiking will start at 2:00 pm, so be geared up and ready to go by then. SJMA staff will be at the Andrew's Lake parking area by 1:30 pm to provide snowshoes to anyone who needs a pair. Hikers will return to the parking area at 4:00 PM and are welcome to stay for a hot beverage, bonfire, and good company. Registration required.

Three Shows! 3:30, 6:30 and 9:30! If you missed the ticket sales for the Snowdown Follies live event, watch the show on the big screen at the Animas City Theatre! It's almost as good as the real thing - at half the price!  Tickets are $12.50
