The Durango Farmers Market is a venue for local agriculturalists, ranchers and artisans to meet and share their harvest and talents with the Durango community. At our market you have the opportunity to meet face to face with the producers and learn more about their growing methods. Vendors post their farming practices at their booth and most follow organic growing methods.   Our market also offers hot ready to eat food from local vendors, value added foods such as jams, jellies and sauces and local artisans who make high-quality handcrafted items. All vendors must produce their goods within our five-county radius ensuring fresh produce and locally made goods. We also have live music performances each weekend as well as community information booths for non-profits and groups that promote our market values of local, sustainable and healthy living.

Adobe Lightroom Classic CC Intensive: Two Day Class offered by Future Light Digital in Durango, CO.>br>  Part 1: The first day covers the Library, Slideshow and Web modules. You will learn how to design a logical file structure, build an efficient backup system, create an easy-to-use naming structure, and use metadata to simplify tracking images from program to program. Integrate image management into your workflow using Adobe Lightroom Classic software and learn how to implement an advanced keyword system for tracking the content of your images.   Leverage the power of virtual Collections to organize your images. We will also cover the Slideshow and Web modules in greater detail, including the use of custom templates for unique and powerful automatic web design. Learn how to set up a web server to post your images online for personal or client review.   Part 2 : The second day covers the Raw conversion and editing tools and Print module. We focus on maximizing the quality of your images in the Develop module, with a detailed explanation of each tool set, including the new selective control with the Adjustment brush. Learn how to set-up batch processing, round-trip editing of images from Lightroom into Adobe Photoshop CC, and working with virtual copies of your original files.   Class meets from 10:00 - 4:00 pm., Fee $245  August 20 & 21, 2022 - Two full days!   Class meets either at the Future Light Digital studio at Elk Park, Durango, or the Durango Community Recreation Center depending on class size.   Bring your own laptop.

The Durango Arts center is pleased to invite all community artists to submit their work for the 2022 community art show, "That's so Durango!" The Gallery is free to the public.

Old West Cowboy Music Show and Chuckwagon Supper. Durango's favorite family entertainment since 1969. Bar D Wranglers perform in concert after supper with music and songs of old west cowboys, comedy, and lively instrumentals. The show is fun for the whole family.    Activities, shops, and ticketing open at 4:30. Supper is at 6:30. Open Memorial Day Weekend through September - Rain or Shine ! Reservations are required.

On New Year's Eve 2017, the five members of J-Calvin brought their unique and varied musical backgrounds together for the first time. The result was a soul-abducting fusion of authentic lyrics, jazz-influenced harmonies, and Dilla-Inspired beats. On October 20th , 2018 they celebrated the release of their debut album, Heart Glow, to a sold-out crowd headlining the iAM Music Fest and a showcase set at Telluride Jazz Fest. In the bands first two years they played over 150 shows across the Western United States at some of the areas finest music venues and festivals. Currently the group is working on its new concept video and EP "Dont Stop Me" set to release in 2020.
