The new Durango Sustainable Goods store in the Smiley Building (studio 12) is celebrating back to school with a weekly sustainable social event every Thursday in August and September. Bring the whole family and enjoy local tea, cookie, and ice-cream tastings, plus sustainable school product prizes and giveaways!

Help us kick off September as Library Card Sign Up Month with a party on the back patio!   We'll have live music by Brettlynn, local brews from Ska Brewing, books offered by the Friends of the Library, sizzling brats and hot dogs, and fun for the whole family!   Event is free for library card holders - and signing up for a library card is also free!   Cheers!

Old West Cowboy Music Show and Chuckwagon Supper. Durango's favorite family entertainment since 1969. Bar D Wranglers perform in concert after supper with music and songs of old west cowboys, comedy, and lively instrumentals. The show is fun for the whole family.    Activities, shops, and ticketing open at 4:30. Supper is at 6:30. Open Memorial Day Weekend through September - Rain or Shine ! Reservations are required.

The Badly Bent has been playing bluegrass music since 1998. Based in Durango, Colorado, the band was the winner of the 2005 Telluride Bluegrass Festival band competition and has performed at over 100 festivals across the United States. The band has recently released its third CD, "Too Late To Care', which follows previous releases of "The Badly Bent" and "Olive or Twist." For James Ranch, we will be a trio comprised of Cindi Trautmann (fiddle, vocals), Patrick Dressen (guitar, vocals), and Mark Epstein (banjo, vocals).

This fun 5 week class (a psychic skills celebration!) includes techniques and practice with Remote Viewing (practice of seeking impressions about a distant or unseen target), Psychometry (reading the energy of objects), Aura Reading (you'll read each other's aura), Mediumship (talking to loved ones and Spiritual Guides on the other side) and a Group Past Life Regression where you'll experience one previous lifetime and gain valulable insight to help you in your life now. We'll use "intuitive play" exercises to access and explore all of these areas. This is a great sampler where you will develop a variety of intuitive and psychic skills in a fun and natural way.   Pre-registration required. Class size is limited.

Join us in the Carver Family Plaza for Trivia night every Thursday. Our trivia consists of four rounds of questions and always includes one scientific round and a music round. $5 suggested team donations. Cash bar available.
