Robert will dive deeper into the ins and outs of the challenging job market in Durango and what employment looks like.    The Chamber's monthly learning series explores a wide range of topics, industries, and organizations, all presented and highlighted by chamber members. This is a great chance to network with colleagues and get a grasp on a new topic within an hour.    This event is free, but we ask that you please register.
Cascade Canyon Winter Train

This unforgettable roundtrip excursion departs from Durango and journeys to Cascade Canyon offering magnificent views of the Animas River and the snowclad peaks of the Rocky Mountains of southwest Colorado. Spanning 26 miles each way, this 5.25 hour round trip experience is offered on select dates from November 19 through May 5. We recommend reserving your trip in advance online so that you have the best chance of securing your preferred seating.    Departing from the Durango Depot, this excursion takes you up into the Rocky Mountains with incredible views of the San Juan National Forest as you travel alongside the beautiful Animas River while relaxing in heated coaches. Cascade Canyon is a destination like no other and is the perfect setting for a fire-side lunch, photo opportunities or a walk along the Animas River during your 60-minute layover. All trains have a concession car with a variety of snacks and drinks available for purchase.    Boxed Lunches are available for pre-order. San Juan Science Ramblers

Simple techniques for handwashing, sampling and transporting food will be covered in addition to Q&A. Attendees will receive a food safety kit to use at their booth! Interpretation available.
