Bags are not accepted in the drop off trailer.   No pesticies, fungicides, or pet waste! No branches or other yard waste - Just leaves please! <br Pumpkins and gourds are used for animas feed at local rances. Apples and other fruit accepted, if fit for animal consumption. No candle wax, paint, ink, plastic decoration, etc...

This fun approach to creating abstract art will have you creating some uber-cool art with a few simple tools. Heather Freeman is the featured ArtRoom artist for November. On November 3 at 5:30, Heather will be doing a short demo on how to create art for homemade cards using colorful acrylics and a few simple tools. You will then get to design and make your own abstract paper which you can make into cards for this holiday season. The mini workshop and all supplies are free. The ArtRoom Collective is Durango's working studio gallery where 22 artists create and sell their handmade goods— art, paintings, jewelry, pottery, hats, and more. The Smiley Cafe will be open and offers coffee and boba beverages and snacks. Monthly First Friday Art Crawls at The ArtRoom Collective feature artist demonstrations to teach and inspire.

Art crawl with local goods, food, culture, and music.  Hosted by Local First, Durango Creative District, and ArtRoom Collective   Durango First Friday is a celebration of all things local in our incredible mountain town- art and music, culture, unique goods, real food, movement makers, and our amazing community! Free and open to the public, this self guided, monthly event will take place rain or shine, the First Friday of every month throughout Durango with a focus on main street from north to south!   Businesses of any and all kinds open their doors and their walls to host an artist of their choice and follow a "reception" format- artist info, beverages and/or snacks provided, maybe even a musician- while locals and tourists alike flood the area to socialize, shop, eat, and celebrate the arts in all forms.   Join us every month!
Pots and Pints - Ceramic Hand-Building Happy Hour

Come get your hands dirty as you create a unique Gravy Bowl! We will mix creativity with pleasure as we unwind from a busy week, enjoy happy hour drinks, spend time with community artists, and most importantly hand-build a Gravy Bowl. By the end of the evening your piece will be ready for glazing. You will select a glaze which will be applied to your ceramic piece when fired. Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe

To celebrate the end of the Halloween season, FLC Musical Theatre will present the Off-Broadway hit, Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe. Nevermore follows the struggles of one of America's most famous poets and authors as he faces abandonment, addiction, poverty, and significant loss, all of which contribute to the composing of some of American literature's greatest works. The book, lyrics, and music for Nevermore are by Jonathan Christenson, who harkens to numerous Poe works, including the iconic poem "The Raven." The theatricality and wide variety of musical styles teamed with the storytelling through metered verse and movement will be an experience you will not soon forget. Think Tim Burton meets Edgar Allen Poe!
