Snowdown Balloon Rally and Mass Ascension

This spectacular event features a beautiful display of colorful hot air balloons ascending in the early morning frost. Enjoy the beauty of seeing balloons climb skyward and float down the Animas Valley. The Saturday Mass Ascension will be held adjacent to the railroad tracks on HWY 550 N. What a way to wake up! Cultural Guards of Durangos Magical History

The 2024 Winter GOAL Program, Cultural Guards of Durango's Magical History, will occur the first Saturday of January, February and March. Ages 11 to 17   As cultural guards, we will continue creating a book of Illustrations from the stories of Durango's Forgotten Pioneers. Stories in order to preserve the historical significance of Durango. We will be visiting the Elks Lodge, in January, the Rochester Hotel in February, and the 1880's Durango High School Building in March. Students will enjoy learning illustrative drawing techniques, skills in ink drawing and colored inks used in illustrating and painting with gauche.    Each month, you will also learn lessons on leadership by memorable seniors of Durango!   Please Join Us, this is a program you don't want to miss! Tie-dye Workshop

Learn the foundations of tie-dye and its color theory, while receiving one-on-one instruction at this hour-long workshop.
