Winter Bike to Work Day

Join the City of Durango and others in Winter Bike to Work Day 2024. This is a day to try to leave your car at home and walk, ride, ride transit, or carpool to work or wherever. The goal of Winter Bike to Work Day is to reduce the number of single occupancy vehicles on the road. Download the Way to Go Durango app for commuter challenges and prizes. The Business Commuter Challenge is Feb. 3-9. There will be stations downtown with hot drinks for those who can make it there 7-9am on the 9th.

Come get your hands dirty as you create a unique Goblet. We will mix creativity with pleasure as we unwind from a busy week, enjoy happy hour drinks, spend time with community artists, and most importantly hand-build a unique piece of pottery. By the end of the evening your piece will be ready for glazing. You will select a glaze which will be applied to your ceramic piece when fired. Sun Bear Solar Project Public Consultation Meeting

The Ute Mountain Ute Tribe and MS1, Inc. is hosting a public meeting to introduce the Sun Bear Solar Project and invite public feedback. The 971MW Sun Bear Solar project is set to be constructed on Ute Mountain Ute Lands in Montezuma County, and would be the third largest solar energy project in US. Public comment ends February 23.
Stained glass 101 - Suncatcher Workshop With Domino's Glass Artistry

Learn the whole process from start to finish, of the "Tiffany" copper foil method in the creation of your own stained glass Suncatcher. You will be introduced to glass cutting techniques, glass grinding, glass foiling, and soldering using a pattern that you select (from 6 pre-selected patterns we have for you to choose from) that you will make and take with you. There will be a short introduction to the types of glass there are to choose from and some basic guidance on how to use the tools needed in the process of creating a stained glass sun catcher. I will provide all the tools and supplies needed , including all the safety gear.

His live sets incorporate violin, didgeridoo, and live analog synthesis overlaid on top of every element of a great DJ set, keeping listeners engaged and entranced for every second he has on the stage.
