We are partnering with TESStastic for "warming spirit" mocktail evenings every Friday from 3:30-6 pm! Come down to the shop to sample or purchase New/Old Fashions & Hot TessToddy's with tea or Wild Margaritas, and/or Cosmos (available in cranberry, orange, raspberry, and hibiscus flavors). There will be free tastings, single drinks for $5, and bottles of the mixers available for purchase. Make it a date night or bring your friends to to discover the fun sober side of Durango. Plus, you'll wake up the next day hydrated and replenished.
Pots and Pints - Ceramic Hand-Building Happy Hour - Incense Burners

Come get your hands dirty as you create a unique Incense Burners . We will mix creativity with pleasure as we unwind from a busy week, enjoy happy hour drinks, spend time with community artists, and most importantly hand-build a unique piece of pottery. By the end of the evening your piece will be ready for glazing. You will select a glaze which will be applied to your ceramic piece when fired. Look for an email telling you when your piece is ready for pick-up and use. (about 21 days) Let the fun begin!    $35.00 Per Participant  *One complimentary drink included with class

Earth Day Film Screening of "Fashion Reimagined"

Join Sustainable Goods for a special Earth Day 2024 showing of the film "Fashion Reimagined." We're delighted to host a pre-screening Mocktail Happy Hour, plus a post conversation about the film and what it inspires. About the film: Amy Powney is the owner and founder of cult label Mother of Pearl and is a rising star in the London fashion scene. Raised off-the-grid in rural England by activist parents, Amy has always felt uneasy about the devastating environmental impact of her industry. When she wins the coveted Vogue award for the Best Young Designer of the Year, which comes with a big cash prize, Amy decides to use the money to create a sustainable collection from field to finished garment, and transform her entire business. This event celebrates Durango's commitment to becoming a Dark Sky community and marks our progress towards this certification. With presentations by The Powerhouse, Visit Durango, and Dark Sky Colorado, you'll gain valuable insights into the importance of reducing light pollution and its impact on our environment.   Prepare to be dazzled as The Powerhouse kicks off the opening of their newest traveling exhibit in the gallery, "Sun, Earth, Universe". Explore the wonders of our celestial surroundings through the interactive exhibit, informative presentations, and exciting activities for kids and adults alike.    This event is free and open to science enthusiasts, families, and anyone eager to learn about the cosmos and dark sky preservation! Light refreshments will be provided, and the bar open for drink purchases.
