Galactic Grinder Gravel Race
8:30am / Cedar Hill (private property)
This route is almost all dirt, with a touch of pavement, and includes 4 miles of the Alien Run single track. You'll encounter steep punchy climbs up to 12%, and breathtaking views, all on some of the most remote gas field roads we have to offer.    Mileage offered includes distances of 9 miles, 35 miles and 50 miles. These roads may be rougher than other gravel event roads and there is 3.8 miles of singletrack on the alien trail. Make sure your gravel bike is up for the burly roads NM has to offer! If you don't have a gravel bike a mountain bike is perfectly acceptable.
Earth Day EV Ride & Drive

Ponte Las Pilas! / Plug It In!   Monarca Group is collaborating with 4CORE to organize a bilingual cultural event to promote sustainable transportation and facilitate EV adoption and access within disproportionately impacted communities (DIC) in Durango, focusing on the Latino community.   The FREE Earth Day EV Ride & Drive at La Plata Fairgrounds and the Durango Community Recreation Center, is intentionally inclusive and equitable. It aims to provide personalized assistance and promote awareness of EV affordability, featuring insights from experienced EV drivers. Additionally, attendees can enjoy various family-friendly activities, resources, food trucks, and live music.
2024 Durango Bluegrass Meltdown

Three days of incredible national recording artists, regional, and local bluegrass bands take over five venues including the Durango Arts Center, Animas City Theatre, and Wild Horse Saloon. This year's extraordinary lineup includes Missy Raines & Allegheny, Seth Mulder & Midnight Run, Damn Tall Buildings, East Nash Grass, Never Come Down, SLO County Stumblers, The Fretliners, Tanasi feat. It's happening again! Mr. B is back to help you celebrate the Holiday by helping you make your very own custom smoking apparatus. Come get your hands dirty as you create unique and functional pipes, bubblers, bongs or any other smoking related pottery your heart desires using slab-building techniques! Enjoy happy hour drinks, spend time with community artists, and most importantly hand-build a clay smoking device to use for years to come. You will then glaze your piece using a variety of colors. Look for an email telling you when your piece is ready for pick-up and use (about 3 weeks). Perfect for a stoner couple date idea, a great way to hang out or simply make new friends while you build the piece of your dreams.
