Come be a part of the region's largest community bike swap! Durango Devo proudly presents its 15th Annual Devo Bike Swap! Buy, sell, donate, volunteer, or simply browse a huge selection of used and new bikes, cycling accessories, gear, attire, bike parts, and more! The Bike Swap is Durango Devo's largest fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds support Devo's affordable, all-ages, team-based mountain biking programs, camps, and scholarships. Great deals abound on gear for every kind of cyclist, from tiny tots to casual riders to serious racers and cycling enthusiasts.

DEA National Drug Take Back Day

The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Durango Police Department are committed to making our communities safer and healthier by preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction. Do you have unused or expired prescription medications?    Dispose of them safely during DEA National Drug Take Back Day, hosted by the Durango Police Department at the Durango Police Substation near Three Springs.   Tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs will be accepted during Drug Take Back Day. The station will not accept liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes, sharps, or illegal drugs. We will continue to accept vaping devices and cartridges at the drop-off location. Please remove lithium batteries before discarding them.   We will also be collecting food donations for Manna Soup Kitchen. Useful items include canned goods (fruits, vegetables, meats, meals) or packaged meals in single or group serving sizes (ramen, pasta, oatmeal, cereal, granola). Personal hygiene products are also beneficial.

Stories from the Bears Ears Area

The author of Bears Ears: Landscape of Refuge and Resistance, Dr. Andrew Gulliford will be expanding on his research to look at case studies of historic sites and conservation across the American West. Come along for the fun and learn about sites you've never heard of and stories from your public lands! There is no charge for this event which will be in-person only in the classroom at the Animas Museum.    Seating is first come, first served.
Durango Wine Experience - Grand Tasting

The Durango Wine Experience, a rich and well balanced event, is brought to you by the Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado. All event proceeds will go to the Community Foundation to support our vital work in the vibrant nonprofit sector. This popular weekend-long event will be held April 26-27, 2024. The Durango Wine Experience features a Friday night Walkabout at multiple locations in historic Downtown Durango, a Saturday Grand Tasting at the Smiley Building lawn, as well as educational seminars, wine dinners, and unique tastings. There will be hundreds of wineries, Colorado artisan spirits and craft beers represented.
