Making a Difference | David Brooks
4:30pm / Virtual through the Community Foundation
The Community Foundation's Making a Difference speaker series is designed to inspire conversation, bring a new perspective, propel philanthropy, and ignite action.   When the Foundation had to postpone their presentation with David Brooks in the spring of 2020 to protect the health and safety of our community, many of us were very disappointed. Brooks is a highly respected New York Times columnist, political analyst, and commentator on PBS NewsHour and NPR’s All Things Considered. In light of everything our nation has been through in the last year, we have determined this conversation can wait no longer. It is time to discuss politics, philanthropy, and how we can unite as a community. Civic engagement is especially challenging in rural communities where the impacts of a polarizing political climate are amplified in our small-town environment. The Community Foundation is bringing David Brooks to Southwest Colorado remotely via Zoom on Monday, February 15, 4:30 - 5:30 PM MST. The Foundation invites you to join Zoom for what is sure to be an impactful discussion about how we move forward, making a difference in Southwest Colorado. The $40 admission price is per household (single, couple, immediate family joining via single device). If you would like to arrange admission for a larger group, call the Community Foundation for special pricing.
