We truly have the perfect environment for a wine event!   The Durango Wine Experience, Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Durango, Colorado. We provide a forum for winemakers to showcase new and existing products. For over 10 years we have donated all our proceeds to various chosen local Durango charities and non-profit organizations.

Antonio Vivaldi, the red-haired priest of Venice, is the focus of this exciting concert. As the Durango Choral Society prepares to leave on a concert tour in Florence and Venice, we celebrate our 50th season in style with a nod to one of the greatest composers of the Baroque period. The major work on the program is the exuberant and beloved Gloria with strings, trumpet, and flute, along with other works by this great Italian master. Reception to follow!

The Garden Club of Durango, celebrating 80 years of membership, will have our Annual Plant Sale at La Plata County Fairgrounds in parking lot A.    Sale starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. All plants come from members gardens. Proceeds are used to maintain the Santa Rita Park Rose, Perennial and Xeric Garden!

Join us for the 17th Downtown Clean Day on Friday May 22. Volunteers are needed to help us clean up Downtown, just in time for the busy summer season. Volunteers will be assigned to a team, and each team will be given a block to clean. Arrive at 8:30 am for coffee from Carvers, doughnuts from Albertsons, work gloves from Kroegers, and a Downtown Clean Day t-shirt courtesy of Black Bear Carpet Cleaning and Repair. Our Fly Fishing 201 class is based on the Orvis 201 Fly Fishing class.   Expand on your fly fishing knowledge with continued casting and presentation instruction, fly selection, gear, fishing the fly, hooking a fish, playing a fish, landing, and releasing fish.   This class is on the water and there is a $75 fee. All gear flies, rods, boots, and waders will be supplied but if you have your own, bring it!
