Inventor Two-Part Bootcamp Series
9:00am / FLC Center for Innovation
Inventing is an adventure. Acknowledging Intellectual Property as a personal property has been around since the early 1200's. In the USA, we have given credit to inventors since 1790. The Inventor Bootcamp is open to all inventors and product developers. In this two-part series, the inventor bootcamp will cover several critical phases in the inventing/manufacturing process. The Bootcamp could save novice and seasoned inventors tens of thousands of dollars in unnecessary expenses. The Bootcamp is presented by the Southwest Colorado SBDC and The Inventors Roundtable™.   In part 1 of the Inventor Bootcamp we will cover an introduction to the inventing process. There is so much more to the process than just filing a patent or making a product. If making some money rather than just spending your dollars is the goal, then there are some important steps to take and plans to make.   In part 2 we will cover prototyping, product launch and licensing your invention. Now we are getting to the really exciting part: How do you get your product ready to sell? There is a practical way and a really expensive way. You have to decide which one works best for you.

JD Simo & GA-20 BLUES NIGHT Animas City Theatre EARLY SHOW
8:00pm / Animas City Theatre
Animas City Theatre Presents JD Simo & GA-20  Tickets onsale July 16th at 10:00am at www.animascitytheatre.com  Early Show: Doors 7:00pm show 8:00pm   JD Simo... The Chicago-born, now Nashville transplant is like a one-man crusade dedicated to keeping music real, raw, and honest. No matter the setting and no matter his role (whether it's wingman or bandleader) J.D.'s presence infuses the situation of the moment with the music that's been fueling him pretty much his whole life, spiced with influences that straddle both decades and dimensions. As a songwriter, guitarist, and producer he has worked with the likes of Jack White, Tommy Emmanuel, Luther Dickinson, Dave Cobb, Blackberry Smoke, and even been a member of Grateful Dead founder Phil Lesh' "Phil & Friends". Now he comes forth with his most unique, original and rawest effort yet… "Mind Trouble". During lockdown in '20, he started cutting tracks in his makeshift studio on a weekly basis. Joined by longtime collaborator Adam Abrashoff on drums and the addition of longtime friend, bassist-producer-engineer Adam Bednarik (Justin Townes Earle), they mused a proverbial soup of shared influences. Hill country trance blues of Junior Kimbrough, RL Burnside and Asie Payton. Hypnotic Afro Beat of Fela Kuti and Tony Allen. Psychedelic warps of Captain Beefheart, Funkadelic, and Jimi Hendrix. The old school blues of John Lee Hooker, Earl Hooker and Lightnin Hopkins. As well as the raw fuzzy rock of The Stooges and Nirvana. Mind Control is the product of 3 like minded buddies huddled in a humble setting, making music to make them feel good. The songs stark revealing nature, is the product of them using the creative process for therapy and enjoyment. Because they simply had to, for no other reason than they couldn't not! They love it too much. A positive theme of growth, self help and struggles with addiction and mental health lay along side a haunting, low down musical landscape. It's raw, funky and real. Such is life.  Website: https://simo.fm/  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jdsimomusic  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jdsimomusic   GA-20: Blues music is revered for its timelessness. The best blues -no matter how old -sounds as fresh and visceral today as it did when first recorded. The high-energy electric blues trio GA-20 -guitarist Matt Stubbs, guitarist/vocalist Pat Faherty, and drummer Tim Carman -know this well. Since first forming in 2018, GA-20 has drawn inspiration for their primal, original music from late 1950s/early 1960s blues, R&B and rock 'n' roll. They use rare and vintage gear (including at times the famed Gibson GA-20 amplifier for which the band is named), creating powerfully raw, driving music that is at once traditional and refreshingly modern.

Drawing inspiration from Sublime, 311, Slightly Stoopid and John Brown's Body, they've made a name for themselves as reggae shapeshifters with a foundation of heavy drum and bass. Today the band consists of founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Joshua Swain, bassist Jason Schmidt, drummer Gary Jackson, and keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist Matt Goodwin. Their sixth studio album, Ways Of The World, dropped on June 7, 2019, debuting at #1 in the Billboard Reggae Chart, and remained in the Billboard Reggae Top 10 for more than 40 consecutive weeks. He first gained attention with his 2016 hit "Lit" and his Dreamhouse EP.   DENM played in various indie rock outfits before launching himself onto the world stage with the release of "Lit" in late 2016. The catchy track combined bouncy Italo house rhythms with fat EDM bass, woozy chillwave synths, and smoked-out, high-pitched vocals. With his green hair, guyliner, and grungy aesthetic, the multi-instrumentalist looked like a child of the '90s. He did not make his real name public, and little was known about him except that he had a lot of experience as a session musician, songwriter, and producer, and had worked and toured with many pop and rock artists. His first EP, Dreamhouse, followed in short order with more of the same, and he soon began to attract press attention; the track "Green" was used in an Uber commercial. A remix EP followed early in 2017, and collaborations with Gnash on "Belong" and Tommy Trash on "Dreamer" appeared before the single "Bless Your Heart" was released in September. In 2019, he joined production duo Rock Mafia for the EP Endless Summer.   https://www.facebook.com/iamDENM  Vana Liya  Nirvana Goberdhan a.k.a Vana Liya grew up outside of New York City. For Zoso, it's much more than just being a tribute. It's about touching a golden era in music. Zoso embodies Page, Plant, Bonham and Jones in their spirit, tightly-wound talent and authenticity.   Each band member has been carefully selected to portray both the appearance and playing styles of their Led Zeppelin counterparts. In eighteen successful years of touring, they have perfected their art. As one of the longest tenured Zeppelin tributes, Zoso's 2400 live shows around the world, including slots at major festivals such as Bonnaroo and Rib America Fest, have established them as the most traveled and successful band in the market.   Zoso's live shows are not about simply playing the right notes, they are about aura and feeling, harkening back to the unique atmosphere Led Zeppelin created. It's in the way they play: Each band member's mastery of authentic vintage instruments coupled with spot-on vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards, their compelling stage persona and distinct Led Zeppelin sound, with astounding visual imagery recreates the music, magic, and mystery of a Zeppelin concert. The impact is so powerful that band members constantly hear from young rockers that they were the catalyst behind turning them into new, die-hard Zeppelin fans.   Their passion, musical ability, showmanship and precise attention to detail earned them critical acclaim, name recognition and a loyal national following. The Los Angeles Times hailed the group as being "head and shoulders above all other Zeppelin tributes," and the Chicago Sun-Times declared Zoso is "the closest to the original of any tribute."   If you missed Led Zeppelin live in the 70's or are looking to relive the "Hammer of the Gods" phenomenon, you must experience what the St. Petersburg Times calls "the most exacting of the Zeppelin tribute bands in existence."   Zoso is: Matt Jernigan-Robert Plant; John McDaniel-Jimmy Page; Adam Sandling-John Paul Jones; Bevan Davies-John Bonham

When the pandemic hit, Magic Beans had dozens of shows cancelled, so they hopped into their studio in Denver, CO and started recording songs. Produced by Magic Beans - and Mastered by David Glasser (The Grateful Dead's long time Mastering engineer) - Funk, soul, live electronica, and even bluegrass music find their way into this songbook from 4 band members that each bring their own flavor to the project. The different feels in the double record coexist harmoniously as the listener is slowly ramped up throughout the record. By the time you hit the second vinyl, the organic sounds of B3 organ and acoustic guitar give way to synths and drum sampling almost as if you're descending into night.   The inspiration for the title "Slice of Life" is just that. A random and unplanned snapshot of the band in this time and place, a self portrait done unknowingly. "Throughout our days as a traveling band, we've encountered many a situation that is unexplainably surreal in its abnormality, but at the same time indicative of the location, culture, and context we find ourselves. "A person partaking in an activity you didn't know existed wearing an outfit you've only seen in a dream, or a collision of occurrences just rare and unusual enough that you think you're living in a simulation just to be in that place, sounds of B3 organ and acoustic guitar give way to synths and drum sampling almost as if you're descending into night.   Profetic Calaveras is a four-piece Latin/funk/fusion band based out of Durango, CO. The band was originally formed in 2016 in Elizabeth, New Jersey by dynamic duo Alex Armando Ruiz and Carolina Togo Ruiz, who later added more musicians to the group in Tyler, Texas...
