You provide yourself, your creativity, and enthusiasm!   We try to limit each session to 10 participants to insure that everyone receives adequate individual attention.   In addition, if you have a group of people, we will prepare a painting on a theme that has a particular meaning for the group. Please call 970-259-2606 if you are interested in this option.

Born of high country festival levity, they explore the limits of bluegrass, rock and roll, americana and latin covers while testing their early morning imaginations. Taking a creative and vibrant approach in original compositions, keep an eye out for their first album expected as the snow begins its journey down.   With Alex Forsthoff on guitar, Jeff Berman on big fiddle, Aaron "Diggin" Cooklin strummin the mando, Mancos&apos Craig F-baum on the manjo, and Mark Walser on small fiddle, People You-Might-Just-Want-to-Get-to-Know will take you on a musical ride to all three ends of the mountain-grass spectrum. Their highly anticipated shows from one San Juan mountain valley to the next range from up-tempo, foot stomping hollerin&apos bluegrass to leisurely deliberate ballads, with tunes both fake and real and everything in between.

Emancipator w/s/g Koresma
9:00pm / Animas City Theatre
Don't miss Emancipator Live in an intimate setting of a 270 capacity venue   About this Event  Tickets on Sale online at 5:00pm Monday November 18th  Tickets available at Animas City Theatre & Animas Trading Company on Tuesday November 19th at 3:00pm   Standing Room Only, Limited seating in balcony   Emancipator  http://www.emancipatormusic.com  https://www.facebook.com/emancipatormusic  https://www.instagram.com/emancipator   A sleeping giant of the electronic music world, Douglas Appling - more commonly known as Emancipator - has quietly established himself as a mainstay in the electronic music scene since the release of his debut album, Soon It Will Be Cold Enough in 2006. Classically-trained as a violinist from an early age, Appling's organic approach to electronic music production draws inspiration from a wide range of international cultures and musical genres, culminating in a refreshingly authentic brand of electronic music that has infiltrated global consciousness.   2017 was a busy year of touring & music writing for Emancipator. Doug’s live band, Emancipator Ensemble, headlined Red Rocks Amphitheater for the first time and made appearances at many music festivals across the globe.   November 2017 also marked the release of the much-anticipated new Emancipator album, Baralku, via his own label, Loci Records. Inspired by the astral “island” some aboriginal societies believe to be our spiritual home after death, Baralku synthesizes downtempo hip-hop beats, world music elements, and field recordings, as well as jazz, folk, and classical influences into a transcendent hybrid of lush, nuanced, and ethereal compositions.   “Music takes me to places, and each song is a spirit island on which its soul lives infinitely,” says Emancipator of the album’s title and his inspiration. “To release a song is both a death and a birth at the same time,” he adds. “The sounds contained in each song have reached the end of their life process. The once shapeshifting collage of expression has been crystallized into a final form, no longer kinetic. Yet it exists in a state of permanent potential energy, waiting to be accessed in the form of music, just as the memory of a departed soul will always have the power to move us.”

She teaches yogic practices for pain management incorporating breath work, meditation, mantra, mudra, and gentle movement. These techniques help people living with persistent pain to move with more ease, experience less pain, and improve quality of life.    Participants are asked to contact Lynn (lynnellen2065@gmail.com) for a brief consultation and to complete an intake form prior to attending Pain Care Yoga classes. No prior yoga is experience required. Chairs, bolsters, and other props will be provided for comfort and safety.
