The Bike Swap is Durango Devo's largest fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds support Devo's affordable, all-ages, team-based mountain biking programs, camps, and scholarships. Great deals abound on gear for every kind of cyclist, from tiny tots to casual riders to serious racers and cycling enthusiasts.

The Iron Horse has become one of the classic bicycle events in the West. Durango is centrally located between Denver, Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City. The Iron Horse is an ideal early summer meeting of the riders from each of these cycling centers as they attempt to bring home the glory to their own communities.

Purgatory Resort is the finish line for the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic Quarter Horse bike race! Riders in the Quarter Horse will tour the 25 scenic miles from Durango to Purgatory Resort. After riding through the gorgeous Animas River Valley, you'll tackle a vertical climb of more than 2,300 feet to finish among food, fun, and festivities in the Village Plaza.   Come cheer on these riders as they finish their 25-mile journey from Durango. The first riders are expected to cross the finish line around 10:00am.

Be a part of history -- this is the longest continuously run road race in Colorado! Since 1978, the Durango Running Club Narrow Gauge 10 Mile Run has been one of Durango's oldest Memorial Day traditions. This year, we're back at beautiful Santa Rita Park. Bring your entire family, and they can spend time at the playground or watch the rafts navigate the Whitewater Park while you run.    The 10-mile race course showcases some of Durango's best mountain views. It is on pavement/sidewalk and runs counterclockwise up to Fort Lewis College, along the rim, and back down along the Animas River Trail. The 5K is an out-and-back along the River Trail. Finishers in both races will receive a race t-shirt and pint glass. Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado and the Fort Lewis College Track/Cross-Country team.

We are so excited to be hosting the first race in this year’s REV Enduro series!   REV is an awesome series put on by experienced race coordinators that encourages everyone to participate, from the first-time racers and the 9-5’ers all the way up to the pros and everyone in between.   It’s always a blast watching racers compete on the trails in our bike park, and this time should be no different!    Learn more about this awesome series below and maybe give it a try?   Also, stay tuned for trail updates as practice and race day draw nearer.

Get outside and stretch your legs! The Durango Adult Education Center is holding its third annual 5k/10k Fun Run fundraiser on August 17th at Santa Rita Park. This race isn't all about speed: shave seconds off your time by completing a high-school level quiz! Prizes will be awarded. Open to all ages and kids 14 and under run for free! Sponsored by Alpine Bank, Durango Land & Homes, and Ohana Physical Therapy. Register to run or volunteer! Learn more at: durangoadulted.org/fun-run-event. Registration deadline is August 7th. Prices increase starting July 7th.
