DESCRIPTION
Join us for a day of study along the Florida River as we take a close look at the dynamic changes that occur over any landscape with flowing water. We'll look at dimensions and shapes of the stream bed and what it contains to understand how the course and flow of a river shifts. We will also interpret evidence of plant and animal species to understand the health and vitality of the riparian habitat and the greater purpose it serves in our local ecosystems. All workshop participants receive free entry to the Nature Center, which is open from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm.
