May 15th-21st is National Police Week and the La Plata County and City of Durango will be memorializing our fallen peace officers on Tuesday, May 17th with a special event - the Law Enforcement Memorial River Walk.

The event will begin at the County Fairgrounds at 7:30 PM and participants will be able to enjoy static displays including artwork by local elementary students, historical information about local law enforcement, and other interactive booths.

The walk with will be a 2.5 mile round trip to Rotary Park and back for which participants will receive blue flashlights in support of law enforcement.
