#lovelightlegacy cancer benefit encompasses everything that we in humanity wish to embody in supporting the human spirit. We often see charity benefits that generally go towards studies and cures, but seldom are able to help an individual as pride keeps us from asking others to lend a hand. Some pass by the homeless man on the street, unable to stop listen and conceptualize his story, but Marla Phillips is a real woman raising her own young men while trying to overcome a cancer prognosis that originally only gave her months to live.

Now, she undergoes chemotherapy treatments and a radical diet change to see her sons’ successes as students and athletes and in life. The #lovelightlegacy cancer benefit at the Durango Arts Center is designed to take all proceeds and apply them directly to her medical bills. We as a community can rally around her and see become part of the miracle that helps keep her and the Phillips family going. 10+ artists have donated time to come play, sing, rap and perform for the public. The tickets are $30.

Items will be raffled off freely to event ticket holders throughout the night as so graciously donated by local businesses.
