Thu, May 19, 2016
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Amber Davis of New Hat Baking has partnered with Durango Learns and will be teaching a two part gluten free living class in May. Part 1 will be a lecture style education class with Q & A at Durango Space on May 19th from 6 pm – 8 pm. We will discuss what gluten is, it’s sources, conditions & symptoms, treatments, and what the gluten free foods marketplace looks like today. We will also provide good resources so you can learn more about healthy gluten free living. Part 1 is $50 ($48 for DurangoLearns members)
Part 2 will be a baking class at Manna’s professional teaching kitchen on May 21st from 1 pm – 3 pm. We will all participate in making delicious and nutritious Gluten Free & Dairy Free Banana Nut Bread. (If any participants have an allergy to walnuts, we can make them nut free as well. Just let me know when you register.) Part 2 is $75.
Amber has been baking gluten free since 2007 when her son was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. Her and her mother started New Hat Baking in 2014 when they realized how many people wanted high quality gluten free products.
