Mercy Nutrition Therapy and The Garden Project of Southwest Colorado invite the public to attend “Building Blocks of a Healthy Diet and Garden,” a FREE educational workshop. The interactive session will take place Thursday, July 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Manna Soup Kitchen's garden and culinary kitchen, located at 1100 Avenida del Sol, in Durango. The Garden Project staff will offer a garden tour, and provide hands-on training to plant, grow, and harvest fresh produce. Mercy nutrition experts will discuss ways to create healthy, nutritious meals and snacks, and how to incorporate this into one’s daily life to achieve proper nutrition.
