Bastille Day French Culinary and Culture Celebration
Fri, July 15, 2016
6:00 PM
Bastille Day is what English-speakers call “la fete nationale†or the French national day. Around the world, Bastille Day is observed by Francophiles – lovers of French culture – who seize the opportunity to eat French food, drink wine, listen to Edith Piaf and parler Francais, bien sur.
If you love French culture, please join Julia and Robert for a unique culinary and linguistic experience. Chef Julia will demonstrate how to make and offer tastings of some French favorites – Vinaigrette, Quiche Lorraine and Clafoutis with seasonal fruits. Robert will share insights into the language of cooking and eating – from mise en place to bon appetit and everything in between. Students will receive copies of the recipes and a vocabulary list. This class is open to learners of all levels of French and cooking.
