Multiple hot air balloons will light up the sky in Downtown Durango at the balloon glow in the 500 block of Main in front of the Train Depot. The glow starts at approximately 7 p.m., weather permitting. Arrive around 6:30 p.m. to see the balloons inflate. Visitors will be able to be up close to see the balloon pilots in action. Kids will love the Humpty Dumpty Balloon! Don’t forget your camera! Once you shoot all those great photos there will be a Portable T-shirt factory that can make a t-shirt and more with your favorite photos. There will also be 'candlesticks' which are the balloon basket and burners, without the balloon. Pilots will let you get in the basket and pull the burner, it's really cool!

Come earlier or stay after to enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants near the event: T’s Smokehouse and Grill, East by Southwest, Gazpacho’s New Mexican Restaurant, Nini’s Taqueria, Sizzling Siam, The Palace Restaurant, Cuckoos’, or Brew Pub & Kitchen.

The event is weather dependent, so cross your figures for a storm and wind-free evening.
