Adaptive Sports Association (ASA) kicks off the winter season with volunteer training! ASA is a non-profit sports and recreation outfitter for people with disabilities. Volunteer training is free and a great way for people interested in the outdoors to get involved and connect with their community. Volunteers are needed daily to teach ski and snowboard lessons. No experience is necessary, but volunteers should be intermediate skiers or snowboarders. Volunteers also earn discounted skiing at Purgatory and college credit through arranged internships. Orientations are November 7th and 9th (choose one) at the Durango Rec Center. Returning volunteers meet 6-7 PM. New volunteers meet 7-8 PM.
