Winter Volunteer Naturalist Training with Durango Nature Studies
Wed, January 10, 2018
6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Do you love working with children or being outside? Want to gain experience teaching environmental science this winter? Join Durango Nature Studies this Winter as a Volunteer Naturalist!
Durango Nature Studies brings students from Durango and the four corners region to enjoy a snowshoe experience while learning about winter ecology and snow science. Each program aligns to Colorado Science Standards and engages students in hands on, scientific inquiry outdoors.
After attending our 10 hour professional training, volunteers will lead snowshoe hikes for small groups of students on weekday mornings, mid January through early March.
2018 Winter training will be held on:
January 10th from 6pm - 8:30pm @ the Durango Public Library
January 12th from 8am - 4pm @ Haviland Lake
