The Durango Herald’s Durango Diaries is a bi-weekly speaker series highlighting stories about our community, neighbors and issues.
The theme of our free inaugural story-telling session will be 'Home' and will feature:
• Local historian Duane Smith, who will talk about early settlers who made Durango home.
• Jamie and Marcos Wisner, owners of Ernie’s and 11th Street Station on Main Avenue, who will discuss what Durango means to them.
• Marc Katz, local philanthropist and co-founder of Mercury Payment Systems, who will share his vision of how future generations may connect with Durango.
We hope you will join us for our first one-hour event, and then keep coming back to help us make Durango Diaries an enjoyable evening of learning about the people who make our community special.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
