DESCRIPTION
The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival present the 2nd Annual Durango Blues Train this June 2, 2012. This exclusive musical event returns for a second year after overwhelming response and praise for the event's first blues train. This exclusive 'moving' musical experience features seven live blues acts, while passengers travel on The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad's coal-fired, steam-powered train through the spectacular and breathtaking canyons of Colroado's San Juan National Forest.

The Durango Blues Train, 'Blues on The Rails', presents three hours of rockin' blues while traveling by a coal-fired, steam-powered locomotive. Acts including Erik Boa and the Constrictors, The Sugar Thieves, Robby Overfield, Big Jim Adam & John Stilwagen, Alex Maryol, Donny Morales, and Todd and the Fox perform in vintage coach cars, as listeners sample tunes while traveling from one railcar to next. Entertainment and favorite libations are peppered with the scenery of the famous train featured in the Hollywood production, "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."

Guests will enjoy live blues and a full cash bar featuring beer, wine, snacks and a wide selection of hot and cold beverages, including non-alcoholic beverages all while riding the rails. The train boards at 5:45 pm at the Durango depot, starts rolling the tracks at 6:20 pm, and arrives back in Durango at 9:45 pm.
