Animas Museum is still taking donations of hand-knit hats and scarves for active troops and returning veterans as part of Operation Gratitude! We are extending our deadline through November 10th when we will present our mini exhibit celebrating 100 years since the end of WWI! We encourage everyone to come!

Please be sure scarves are no bigger than 4'-6' wide and 48'-50' long with no fringe. Any soft yarn and any color will be accepted, but if possible please keep colors subtle—blues, browns, greens, grays, maroon, and black are preferable. Stripes using these colors or multi-colored yarn is acceptable. We have also been cleared to accept scarves and hats made with a red, white, and blue color combination. Please mark your object with the fiber content—only 100% wool or alpaca items can be sent to deployed troops. Acrylic items are OK, they will be given to Wounded Heroes or Veterans.
