DESCRIPTION
The Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College will host a lecture by Judith Reynolds, “The Renaissance Palace on Main Avenue: Durango's Victorian Architecture,'

This event is free and open to the public.

The Newman Building, built in 1892 at corner of 8th and Main Avenue, is a prime example of a reimagined Roman fortress. Durango's building boom in the early 1890s made America's fascination for world architecture dramatically visible.
