Jennie Dear, a former journalist and associate professor of English, is a writer in Durango, Colorado. Dear received her undergraduate degree in the history of ideas from Williams College, and reported for small-town newspapers in Tennessee, Kentucky, and New Zealand. As a long-time hospice volunteer, Jennie Dear has helped countless patients, families, and caregivers cope with the many challenges of the dying process.
