Talk is Power- Tools to Talk to Youth about Sex and Sexuality
Thu, October 25, 2012
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
October is Let’s Talk Month, an annual effort to encourage parents to talk with their children and adolescents about sexuality-related topics. Despite what some adults may think, they have an enormous influence on youth’s decisions about relationships and sex.
The Responsible Sex Education Institute of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains will be offering a FREE presentation entitled Talk is Power. Talk is Power is a seminar for adults which is intended to build confidence in talking about sex and sexuality and to help parents give their children a solid foundation of knowledge so their youth feel empowered to make healthy, responsible decisions about sexual health and relationships. This presentation will be held from 6:30-8 pm Thursday, Oct. 25 at The Durango Public Library. Parents and caregivers of children of all ages are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
