The Durango Arts Center will present its fifth Sweethearts of the Arts on Saturday, February 9. This signature fundraising event honors three special women who have invested their lives in the arts:
- Ann Butler, Durango Herald columnist and mistress of words whose vast knowledge of wine, food, music and art connects neighbors with each other and with community events.
- Maureen May, artist, actress and passionate supporter and tireless worker on behalf of all forms of art.
- Judith Reynolds, theater, music, arts and culture critic and political cartoonist who expands our appreciation of the arts through her unique perspective.
This event is an appreciation party and celebration of their contributions and the positive difference they have made in our community, and it has the added benefit of strengthening the arts programs of DAC while honoring these three women for their generosity, talent and vision.
