DESCRIPTION
Join Durango Nature Studies and astronomer John Buting for a tour of the night sky. John has graciously agreed to share his knowledge and his telescopes for our astronomy programs that will be held throughout the year. March 11 will be a special night. The PanSTARRS Comet should be visible right before dark. PanSTARRS could be the best visible comet since Hale-Bopp in 1997 and during March should be at its brightest. In addition, Jupiter should also be visible at twilight. Don’t miss this informational and once-in-a-lifetime event. To register email sally@durangonaturestudies.org, or call 769-1800. Or register online at http://www.durangonaturestudies.org/wildwords.htm From Durango: Take US Highway 550 south towards Farmington 12 miles from Farmington Hill.
