Who is 20 Moons Dance Company?

We are a budding collective of dancers and musicians based in Durango, Colorado who explore movement as a way of bringing the "authentic self" to the stage. We believe movement heals, transforms, integrates, and provides new perspectives--not only for those creating the art, but for those who witness the performances. We created 20 Moons because we are humans with a huge passion for the mysterious world of the body. Movement is the medium with which we explore the paradoxes of life, express the wild nature of soul, and communicate the common human experiences that are uncommonly spoken about. We act as bridges between the non-verbal and the verbal, the invisible and the apparent--and bring it to the stage where our work will hopefully inspire and ignite the engine of transformation.

We spent seven months in the studio exploring the theme of authentic voice. “In the Fullness of Time” is an exposition of transformation and transmutation, both as individual woman and as a collective world. It traverses the tale of time--from our soupy primordial roots to our hyper modern digital culture-- diving in and out of the parallel processes of universal, personal, and social evolution. How can time reveal the truths--and lies--about how we express the inner workings of the soul and relationships? The show is aprox 50 minutes and features seven dancers and one musician. It is appropriate for all ages.
