Hilarity abounds when three couples successively occupy the same suite in city hotel: a middle-aged, not-so-blissfully wedded couple on the anniversary day (or is it?); a meeting between a movie producer and his old flame, now a suburban housewife; and a married couple who can't seem to get their daughter to come out of the bathroom on her wedding day.

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play (Mike Nichols), and Simon received a Tony nomination for Best Play.
