Animas River Days Film Festival and Kick-Off Party

Animas River Days 2013 kicks off with a party celebrating the best paddling films of the year! Films this year are sure to appeal to boaters and non-paddlers alike, with a wide diversity of topics matching the theme "Celebrate Wild Rivers". A series of local interest films include on Browns Canyon of the Arkansas River near Salida, The Durango Whitewater Park, and Durangoan Andy Corra's World Record kayaking attempt. In addition, viewers will enjoy the festival version of The Current, the FLC documentary on the Animas. Beyond Durango the features include phenomenal adventures in Mexico, Oregon, and the Congo.
Doors open @ 5:30 for Food and Beverages; Films start @ 6:30
Tickets: $10 in advance; $12 at door; Advance tickets available at Maria's Bookshop, Pine Needle Mountaineering, 4Corners Riversports.
Children 12 & under receive free admission for bringing a poster they've created using the theme: Wild Rivers - Wild Kids
