Durango Nature Studies' Mountain Lion Workshop
Sat, August 3, 2013
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Join DNS Board Member and former mountain lion technician, Laine Johnson, for an informative workshop on lion ecology. At the nature center you will learn about lion natural history, sign, safety and conservation. Laine has unique experience radio-collaring mountain lions using both hound dogs and leg snares in the Snowy Mountains of Wyoming and for the Southern Ute Tribe. She was one of a two person team studying the elusive puma in remote and dangerous regions. She is excited to share her personal experience and knowledge of these beautiful animals.
All workshop participants receive free entry into the Nature Center for the day.
