Get comfortable with simple drawing techniques and enjoy the process of Figure Drawing with Man's Best Friend!

The La Plata Humane Society has agreed to provide our lovely dog "models" for the class. All supplies are included, and an experienced teacher will be there to give you guidance along the way. We will mix creativity with pleasure as we unwind from a busy week, enjoy a happy hour drink, spend time with other artists, and most importantly enjoy the opportunity to sit, relax and draw a very patient dog.

Figure drawing is the practice of drawing from a live model in different poses. It trains your eye to see things that photographs just can't capture. This makes you more perceptive in all of your work—The biggest reason to practice with live animals is because it has so much to offer. Mastering the animal form is about more than just shapes and muscles and bones.

A $10 Tip or Chew Toy is Required for our models and will go directly to the LaPlata County Humane Society. Beginners are welcome! This class is also perfect for adults with previous drawing experience.
