Papermaking with Plants Workshop with Mary Ellen Long Saturday, September 7 10 a.m.–4 p.m. In the DAC Education Studio $65 members; $75 non-members (plus $5 materials fee) A papermaking exploration and experience with local wild and cultivated plants with some imported fiber added to the mix. Stems, leaves, and petals will be harvested and processed during the preceding week before the workshop. Techniques for inclusions, laminating, and embossing will be covered. Bring cuttings of plants which can include cattail, straw, corn husks, and cuttings from the florist floor! We will have slow cookers* processing material on Tuesday and Thursday – 10-2 - in the Education studio at DAC previous to the saturday workshop.
